Frustrations set in whenever your body parts no longer perform the way they did when you were younger. So many do’s and don’ts begin to pile up over time to maintain a healthy body more so if one gets older.

Mother had thrombosis in her right leg. It meant there’s blood clot in the blood vessel blocking the flows of blood. She used to stand for longer periods when younger since we had an eatery business and it resulted to her having varicose veins. She doesn’t refuse or fail to do household chores supposed to be done by younger members of the family. It’s just born out of habit and when advised to cut down on doing so many things she’d been doing regularly for decades already, you could sense her dilemma on whether to slow down or not.

Well, knowing her – I’m sure common sense will prevail eventually.

Our country reeks of politics – more dark side of it – mudslinging, war mongering with threats of coup d’etat. Even religious sector is joining in the “fracas”. We know for a fact that many government men had gone through some dealings more for their own interest than for the welfare of their own people purported to serve well. There are more evils than good public servants now in the government.

Rather than finger pointing they should start changing themselves and at least make an effort to improve the local economy as many now are struggling financially to make both ends meet. Both sides, opposition and pro-administration need prayers for peace and moral ascendancy. Remember, in politics many good men turn bad. Just like greenish, moldy bread.

He got home with one of the widest smile I’ve ever seen so I figured he really enjoyed the affair. It was pretty late when I came to pick him up and since I was getting drowsy, I decided I do the grilling the next day. It’s always a welcome treat for mothers to be given a blow-by-blow detailed account of what transpired last night. That’s what usually happens if you’re not there to personally witness the affair. At least, my son is going to have a memorable and happy thoughts in this second to the last program (his graduation from high-school, since he’s a senior already) of their school.
